Steve, The bricks were part of a fundraiser that was done years ago when the city redeveloped our downtown. The names that you see are those who believed in downtown when it was mostly abandoned and they had a motto of if you build it they will come. Build they did and business and people soon...

I had the pescado guerror - mahi mahi that was char-grilled and covered in a

light, white wine sauce swimming w/ bay scallops, FRESH mushrooms (I'm sick of restaurants using canned mushrooms), red peppers and shrimp. Man o man was it GREAT! The mahi was so fresh and tender - like a finely cooked steak off the grill. It came w/ the papas con chili - red smashed potatoes w/ garlic and jalapenos mixed in - yummers! My hubby had a combination dish - it was actually a platter. We have big appetities but took most of both of our dishes home... you really get a LOT for the money. Hubby's dish had a guacamole enchilada, a fresh, sauteed spinach enchilada, chicken, a chile relleno and more. Truly, the portions were ginormous and we had enough to eat dinner that night at home too. The prices were a little high ($40 for an early dinner - 2 entrees, an appetizer and two iced teas) for lunch - but it's one of those things were the quality was there so we didn't mind the high price tag. The fundido del mar was good - cheese dip with fresh seafood. The salsa was fresh, the chips were light and crispy. And with the salsa, they give you a "shot" of their homemade hot sauce... hubby said it was good (I'm more of a Tabasco girl myself). The service was great too... we were actually going to see a movie and didn't want to let the leftovers rot in the hot car, so the server let us bag it up and keep it in their kitchen's fridge until the movie was over. I liked that personal touch. This Mexican restaurant had more creative, fusion-style

really hurting. Well, I finally broke down and stopped in and I mean my feet have never been happier. The staff takes the time to walk you through the process of finding the perfect shoe for you. This is not a just stop in and grab a pair like some of the box stores, it is a place to find THE shoe for you. Do yourself a favor and stop by there.

Steve at Pro Care put new tires on my car today. I can't describe how nice it is to have an honest, reputable mechanic so close by. I highly recommend Pro Care.
A little pricey, but good overall

I've only eaten there 3 or 4 times, but the food both times is always pretty good. A lot

of the typical Mexican restaurant menu items, but a few unique dishes that stand out. And the spicy potatoes - papas con chili - are an interesting treat (if you're bored with the rice/refried beans combo). One dissapointment is that their Sangria is very, very lame. Watered down, flavorless - blah. Stick with the bottled drinks, or head over to Chicanos for some decent Sangria.
